A shining reflection
God's glorious perfection
The hope of the day
Is coming our way
Ebony and white
At dawns first light
A brand new beginning
When darkness is ending

Trees
Tall and green they stand so proud
Arms embracing toward the cloud
Whisper as the wind does blow
A sound to rival the water flow
Timeless giants standing firm
With many secrets we could learn
Older, much more so than me
Younger, more so than the sea
Standing letting time pass by
Cold to freeze, heat to fry
Makes me wonder, in this day
Why not take the time to stay
Firm and steady as the trees
Gently swaying in the breeze
Hear the words I pen and say
Take a tip from trees today

Moonlight Serenade
He sings his song
Above the night
A lonely sound
Before the light
It echos loudly
Clear and bright
Then swirls as he
Takes to flight.

Once upon a rainy day
I danced with fairies in a glade.
I sang and watched them, peering close
To see the things of which I boast.
Their colors, each a different hue,
They danced, they sang, they even flew.
The fairies sang a minstrels tune
And danced upon a daisys bloom.
The thickest moss is where I sat;
To be their guest, Imagine that!
They drank the rain collected there
From cups of flowers and maiden hair.
They frolicked well into the night
The glowing moon their only light.
As the dawn began to creep,
I watched them start to fall asleep.
And as the sky turned sunlight's hue
I watched them melt into the dew.

It hangs there so precariously,
Yet is it not the prettiest orb?
It glows of light reflected
But o'ershadowed in the day.
There is a man I see
Perhaps he grins at me...
Or is that a smirk I see on his shadowey face?
It's brilliant light astounds me.
I give thanks as I gaze unendingly.

Misty rays of moonlight sewn
To make her pale gown
A scattering of stars
To make a lovely crown
The earths finest ivy
Gives her bracelets on her wrists
A bed of thick green moss to pad
The throne on which she sits
Her eyes are green, her hair is brown
Her skin is that of milk
She rules with a loving hand
And voice, an Irish lilt
The forest beings hail to her
Their lovely fairy Queen
Who's made of earth, and of the stars
And all that's inbetween.

Winter white
The brightest sight
Falling snow
The coldest show
Windy walls
The icy falls
Drifts of snow
To shape and flow
-E.Duman (00)
The Willow and the Eagle
Smoothly swaying in the breeze
With agile strength and gentle ease
Swinging softly with the air
Bringing life to everywhere
Soaring swift upon the wind
Diving, climbing up again
Flying free above the field
Beauty, strength, and grave revealed.
-E.Sizemore (02)
Footsteps pounding on the sand
Ponytail in the wind
Raindrops playing in the surf
Water crashing to the earth
Sweat and water blending t hrough
Dripping down and beading to
Panting pressure in the air
Playing catch me here and there

Floating softly down to earth
Gentle diamonds fall
Coating all the world in white
Purifying all.
~E.Duman 01/00
A wonderful world of wintery white
Swiftly the snowflakes soften the sight
Quickly the crystals collect on the car
Falling so freely from near and from far.

Golden ball of fire
Sink down at your desire
Then lift reflection higher
To show the night
Merciless allure
Oftentimes unsure
Ladylike demure
A lovely sight
Fingers reaching for
Dawns eternal shore
Stretching out for more
To touch the dark
Stillness touching air
Holding, waiting there
A soothing sight of rare
Then sing the lark.
E.Duman 10/99
Rain is around me
A gentle embrace
Falling so freely
With beauty and grace
A wonderful feeling
The rains sweetest touch
Emotional healing
Is taken from such

Venus
Oh fairest one, the morning star
Looking down upon the dark
Lend us your brightest light tonight
When we have no moon in sight.
Riding high above the world
Let your might now be unfurled.
Hasten down the white on black
Making shades of gray come back. Shimmer down upon the blue
'Till the morning breaks anew
Thus the sun will light our way
And guide us strong throughout the day.
-E.Sizemore (03)
Yellow, orange, brown and red
Every flower and leaf is shed
Softly, gently floating down
Fall is coming, gather 'round
Smell the wood smoke in the air
Soon you'll see the branches bare
Grab your loved ones, huddle near
Watch this lovely time of year.
